Sport Specific Rehab
Our practice is built on our passion for movement and activity. We understand how vital activity and sport are to your life. We guarantee your rehabilitation program will be unique and include dynamic exercises that incorporate game like movements and technical skill. The road to recovery isn't easy or pain free, but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable!
Advanced ACL & Knee Rehab
Champion Performance was founded on the desire for athletes to have a better solution to recovery from knee surgeries that included sport specific movements and gradual reintroduction to play. We specialize in ACL rehabilitation for all ages and skill levels by incorporating progressive evidence based protocols and advanced functional performance testing prior to return to sport. We are also partnered and communicate daily with local orthopedic surgeons using the latest reconstrucitve techniques and cartilage transplant technology.
Pre and Post Surgical Care
We treat all orthopedic pre and post surgical issues. Pre surgical physical therapy manages swelling, pain and range of motion to allow for better surgical outcomes and ease the transition into post operative therapy.
Back And Neck Problems
The spine is the foundation of all movement. We incorporate functional movement, core strength and postural stability in all of our treatment programs. We treat a wide range of ailments specific to the back and neck including acute dysfunctions, disc herniations, stress fractures (spondylolysis), rib dysfunction, muscle spasms, whiplash, and facet impingements.
Pediatric Injuries
Specialization in sport and increased participation has lead to an increase in the prevalance of injury in youth sport. We treat a variety of overuse and growthplate injuries including Sever's, Osgood-Schlatter's, jumper's knee, and growth plate fractures.
Running Analysis
Running is a great and popular form of exercise, but is also demanding on the body. We have numerous PTs certified as running rehabilitation specialists who can help address your running mechanics, movement patterns, cadence, footwear, and your training program in order to minimize injury risk and improve efficiency.
Hand Therapy
We perform general and sport specific hand therapy - including scar tissue mobilization, joint range of motion, soft tissue mobilization, and strengthening required for gripping during daily and sport specific activities. We do not provide splinting services.
Manual Therapy
We use a hands on approach including a variety of skills such as manipulation, joint mobilization, soft tissue massage, and myofascial techniques. All therapy methods used in our clinic are evidence based and have shown to facilitate the recovery process and improve movement.
Return-to-Sport Testing/Screening
CPPT uses Dr. Christie Powell’s comprehensive functional performance test battery called ALESA, The Advanced Lower Extremity Sport Assessment, to establish functional movement competence in athletes. This is an assessment of movement using reliable and valid functional performance measures to determine deficiencies that increase injury risk. This allows us to program rehabilitation treatment strategies to address these deficits prior to return to sport.
Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)
We treat CRPS occurences in all regions of the body. We use a variety of modalities including NEUBIE, desensitization, mirror therapy and have a strong network of medical doctors that specialize in CRPS and pain management.
EDS-HT Therapy
We work with patients of all activity levels to help maximize strength and function while decreasing pain. For all of our EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes) patients this is important as they have issues with connective tissues that typically provide support in the skin, tendons, ligaments blood vessels, internal organs and bones. Extra flexible and feel loosey goosey? We can help!
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)
We utilize BFR with patients of all levels and functions, especially with our post operative patients. BFR allows us to comine low intensity exercise with blood flow occlusion to produce similar results to high intensity training!
Advanced Shoulder Rehab
We treat all shoulder injuries working to prevent surgery and post operative. We specialize in return to sport for athletes including throwing mechanics, hitting mechanics, racket sports, golf, volleyball, gymnastics and others. Give us a call to learn more!
NEUBIE - Direct Current
NEUBIE is a Neuro-Bio-Electric Stimulator. It uses direct current to provide targeted stimulation providing for down regulation, gaster healing, pain reduction and strength gains. It is FDA-cleared and backed by science. We use NEUBIE for patients of all ailments and long term goals.
Post Concussion
We have therapists that specialize in post concussion treatment and return to sport. The brain matters and having a team that ensures a safe return to daily living or sport is vital to long term wellness!
Total Joint Replacement
We treat joint replacements of all body parts: neck, shoulder, back, hip, knees, ankles etc. We utilize multiple modalities to ensure you maximize your range, extension, and level of function. In your rehabilitation we will work to make it as functional as possible to get you back to an active lifestyle!
Cupping
Cupping is a manual therapy modality used in our clinic to manipulate soft tissue and help address various muscle dysfunctions. Cupping is used to improve myofascial release and increase blood flow.
Scraping
Scraping is another form of manual therapy used in our clinic to treat soft tissue injuries and dysfunctions. This modality is used to manipulate muscles, tendons and fascia to break down scar tissue, reduce muscle tension and promote healing. It stimulates a localized inflammatory response, increases blood flow to the area and promotes the natural healing process by triggering tissue remodeling and regeneration.
BPPV - Vestibular Therapy
BPPV, benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, is one of the more common forms of vertigo. Our services include canalith positioning manouvers, vestibular interventions and proprioception.
Weightlifting Injuries & Mechanics
Strength training focused on form and function is a part of treatment for all our patients. Whether you are playing professionally or looking to improve your ability to do daily activities we will increase strength, quality of movement and prepare you to have success with lifting not only within our clinic but also on your own!
